![]() ![]() Right now, I have Java uninstalled since my last attempt at this didn't work and I decided to just get rid of it, but the version of Java that I did have is Version 8 Update 271 (? idk if that's even the kinda info you might need or if i even gave the right info, sorry-). I'm running Windows 10, MC 1.16.4 if it matters. I had no idea if this would even work, but I tried right-clicking the Optifine installer and choosing, "open with," "more apps," and choosing the version of Java that Minecraft in running off of (I assume, since that's where it takes me when I check the "Java executable" settings for different MC versions in the launcher) but that didn't do anything either. I've tried following tutorials in messing with the config menu for Java didn't work. I've tried uninstalling Java and reinstalling it several times none of them worked. You are then prompted to read and agree with the end user license agreement. Visit the 'Download Java' page: Click the ' Free Java Download ' button. Because of this, I obviously can't install Optifine or use shaders with it. Visit the Java website and download the installer To install Java, you first need to download the installer program from Oracle. I click on a Java application, a black window appears for a split second (sometimes this happens, other times it doesn't) and then it closes and nothing else happens. Minecraft runs just fine, but seemingly every java application I try to open doesn't work. ![]()
